LEADING SKILLS For those who have had a formal anchor building class and want to be on the sharp end of the rope! All classes meet at 8:00 a.m. and they end approximately 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. This comprehensive course encompasses a wide array of lead climbing
skills. The topics include but are not limited to advanced protection
placements and equalization techniques, racking, building multi- directional
anchors, the ussage of runners/ slings and cordelettes, methods of reducing
rope drag, rope management, All lead climbing is done while top-roped, so you can concentrate on learning the techniques. All curriculum is subject to guides discretion. If you're serious about lead climbing, this is for you! Cost: $315 (Cost includes all climbing equipment) Tipping your guide is customary when you are pleased with their performance. Prices are based on a minimum of two participants. In the event that course participant minimums are not met, your options would include; rescheduling, receiveing a full refund or converting class into "Private Guiding" and paying private guiding rates. AMGA Certified Guides The American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to developing and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism in mountain and rock climbing guiding in the United States. The AMGA meets that goal through a rock climbing Certification Program for individual rock climbing guides and instructors.
